Madalyn Coleman (12)
Madalyn Coleman (12) works on an investigation about her dreams and how they impact her artwork.
“If it isn’t a new dream, it’s just an old dream that I’ve had, that I get to dream of again.”
The current piece she is working on is of an angel that keeps visiting her in sleep.
“Usually, I’ll dream about different places in my head that I’ve been to…I’m actually doing one of my sustained investigations on this. In one dream I’d have, I was in this deep, deep, deep ocean; in my dreams, I can hear and fear and stuff, So I felt like I was in the water.”
For her next artwork, she’ll have to incorporate ideas of fears she witnesses in her sleep and how she overcomes them.
