After moving to Florida from Pennsylvania, Mrs. Diane Hamilton fell in love with the ocean and water-related activities, so much so that she wanted to teach Marine Science so that she could instill the love in marine life that she has in her students. She decided to get into teaching because of how rewarding it was to teach students something and having them try new things. Her favorite part of the marine science class is having students collect specimens to build their own aquarium since they always enjoy hands-on learning.
“I really enjoyed working with students and I feel rewarded when the students are excited about learning, excited about trying new things hands-on, and excited about learning new topics. It’s just very rewarding for me.”
