Every year, on the first week of December, Spotify, a music streaming platform with over 350 million listeners, releases a series of “stories” that encapsulates and recaps the music you have listened to during the year. The app shows the number of minutes spent listening to music, your music “aura”, color palette, top artists and songs, etc. A reason why Spotify Wrapped has become so popular is because of how easy it is to share your music taste and information. This unites everyone and allows people to connect and build relationships over a simple act, such as listening to the same genre of music.
