14-year-old Georgia Girl Fatally Shoots Mother, Steals Car, and Crashes 100 Miles Away

A 14-year-old Georgia girl has been charged with fatally shooting her mother at their Tifton home.

Tifton Police said they came to 41-year-old Rachel Wagner’s home at 8 a.m. on Tuesday to inform her that her daughter had been involved in an accident in Bibb County, WALB reported.

They couldn’t reach anyone inside and called Wagner’s employer, who was likewise unable to locate her. They phoned the landlord, who let them into the property, where they discovered Wagner’s body in the rear bedroom, according to WSB.

According to WALB, investigators determined that Lilyand Rose Wagner shot her mother before taking the mother’s car and getting into an accident about 100 miles north.

Lily and Wagner are being imprisoned at the regional youth correctional institution on one count of malice murder. Police are currently investigating a motive.
