Tampa’s hometown Hockey team won over the Nashville Predators in the home opener for the lightning. They boasted a score of 5 to 3 in the final, starting the year off 1 and 0. While the lightning won by 2 goals, they were less than dominant throughout the game. They started the third period tied at 1-1, and went down 2-1 early in the third. After remembering that they are one of the best teams in the league, the turned on the super boosters and scored 4 goals in the mid to late third period. Nikita KOOOOCherov had 2 goals and a good night overall. Nick Paul had another 2 goals. Brandon Hagel had the final goal wrapping up a great game and has the lightning looking to have a good season.
