46-year-old Man Injured in West Rogers Park Shooting, Suspect Still at Large

Late Wednesday afternoon, a man sitting in a car was shot and wounded in West Rogers Park, also known as the West Ridge neighborhood.

At 4:35 p.m., the 46-year-old male was sitting in a car on the 2500 block of West Touhy Avenue when another automobile pulled up and a man got out.

According to authorities, the second man pulled out a revolver and opened fire on the man in the car. The subject was transported to Ascension St. Francis Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg and arm and was listed in fair condition.

Nobody was in custody late Wednesday. Detectives in the Belmont area are conducting an investigation.
