FCCLA makes ornaments for the kids

Holiday Spirit– Some attendees brought lawn chairs and sat in front of the stage for the afternoon. Hundreds of people attend the event each year. “It is a very kid-friendly event, and kids of all ages would have fun there,” said Hill.

The FCCLA club spent Saturday afternoon helping kids make ornaments at the Parrish Hometown Christmas event. From 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., there was live music, activities for children, food vendors, a petting zoo, and lots more. The event was held in Parrish at the Centerstate Bank on US 301.

“I was glad that I took time out of my day to see smiles on the kids faces while making a craft,” stated sophomore and FCCLA member Kaitlyn Hill.

This is FCCLA’s second year doing this and plans to continue doing it in the years to come.
