Holiday Spirit– Some attendees brought lawn chairs and sat in front of the stage for the afternoon. Hundreds of people attend the event each year. “It is a very kid-friendly event, and kids of all ages would have fun there,” said Hill.

The FCCLA club spent Saturday afternoon helping kids make ornaments at the Parrish Hometown Christmas event. From 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., there was live music, activities for children, food vendors, a petting zoo, and lots more. The event was held in Parrish at the Centerstate Bank on US 301.

“I was glad that I took time out of my day to see smiles on the kids faces while making a craft,” stated sophomore and FCCLA member Kaitlyn Hill.

This is FCCLA’s second year doing this and plans to continue doing it in the years to come.
