Authorities have been searching for two hit-and-run drivers who struck a woman walking along the side of the road in Menifee on Sunday evening.
The incident occurred at roughly 7 p.m. near Ethanac Road and Sherman Road, according to the Menifee Police Department.
According to officers, the woman was on Ethanac’s shoulder when she was clipped by an SUV, causing her to spin to the opposite side of the road. She was hit by a vehicle before she could move.
Both drivers went without stopping, leaving the woman on the road.
Good Samaritans contacted 911, and paramedics transported the victim to a hospital for treatment. She is currently said to be in stable health.
“It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the collision,” the investigating officer added.
