An Ohio dad was convicted guilty of raping his 11-year-old daughter after his two stepdaughters came forward and said he raped them.
One of the stepdaughters said the 48-year-old convicted sex offender raped her and gave birth to his child when she was 11.
The guy from Columbus was found guilty of one crime of rape of a child under the age of 13 and one count of gross sexual imposition, according to a statement from the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the office, the conviction against the man, who PEOPLE is not naming to protect his family members’ identities, resulted from rape charges made by his daughter in 2022.
According to The News & Observer, police rushed to a Columbus residence in August 2021 after the man’s daughter and two stepdaughters claimed he sexually abused them on many occasions.
According to the documents, the daughter, who was 11 years old at the time, told authorities that the man sexually molested her.
The stepdaughters then accused the guy of raping them between the ages of 11 and 17, from 2008 until 2019, during which time they all lived together, according to NBC 4 and the prosecutor’s office.
During this period, the offender allegedly impregnated one of his stepdaughters, who gave birth to the kid at the age of 11, according to The News & Observer.
According to NBC 4, prosecutors said a DNA test would later prove his paternity.
It was not immediately known whether there were any further charges against his stepdaughters. The Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for additional information.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the criminal is scheduled to be sentenced on December 17 and might receive a life sentence with the option of release after 15 years.
