Deadly Crash on US 385 Claims Life of Texas Man, Injures Two Others

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a crash on US 385 early Thursday morning killed one person and injured two others.

A 2016 Ford F-150 and a 2024 Ram 2500 collided at mile marker 406. Fernando Bosquez, a 24-year-old from El Paso, Texas, was driving the Ford F-150 southbound when he tried an unsafe pass, colliding with a northbound Ram 2500 driven by Angel Banuelos, 32, of Mission, Texas.

Jacob Adam Campos, a 24-year-old Ford passenger who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at McCamey Hospital. Bosquez, who was wearing a seatbelt, suffered severe injuries and was sent to Odessa Medical Center. Banuelos, who was also wearing a seatbelt, was admitted to the same hospital in stable condition.

Trooper Spence of the Texas Highway Patrol is investigating the incident, and there is currently no other information available.
