According to local authorities, one person was murdered and another was critically injured when a car hit them on a road in Mercer County on Tuesday evening, November 26.
Around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, there was a crash on Franklin Road near Coolspring Church Road. Officers confirmed that two people stopped to retrieve a dead deer from the road when they were hit head-on by a car traveling in the opposite direction.
A 27-year-old guy was declared dead on the spot. The second guy, a 38-year-old man, was transported to a hospital with critical injuries.
It is unknown if anyone else was involved or injured in the incident. However, no other information has been supplied, and the investigation is still underway.
