Rescued Christmas Trees Arrive in Belton After Hurricane Helene Devastates North Carolina Farms

Since Thanksgiving has passed, many families are rushing out to get their Christmas trees, and a new farm in Belton is making tree purchasing an experience.

Highland Acres Homestead near Belton opened its doors Monday to sell Christmas trees for the first time, just in time for the holidays.

Owners Frank and Anja LaGrange discovered Fraser and Blue Spruce trees from North Carolina that couldn’t be sold after their Christmas tree lots were devastated by Hurricane Helene.

“We talked to a few people and several farms had to cancel their orders, so we were able to get some of what they had that was already allotted for this year,” Anja LaGrange told me.

The LaGranges are pleased to see families enjoying the farm’s many animals before returning home satisfied with their ideal tree.

“We set it up to look like a tree farm so you can take the fun pictures, and the kids can run through the aisles and it’s just fun watching the families I think enjoy it,” Anja LaGrange told me.

The Highland Acres Homestead property is located at 2875 Rocking M Ln., Belton, Texas.

The LaGranges want to sell every weekend until all of their trees are sold out.
