Fatal Collision on U.S. 29 Motorcyclist Dies, SUV Driver Hurt in Escambia County Accident

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol says that a crash involving three cars in Escambia County this afternoon killed one man and hurt another.

The accident took place at 4:09 p.m. on Tate School Road and U.S. 29 (State Road 95).

The Florida Highway Patrol says a 20-year-old man from Cantonment, Florida, was riding a motorcycle north on U.S. 29 when it crashed into an SUV driven by a 72-year-old woman from Cantonment who was crossing U.S. 29 going east.

After the first crash, the SUV hit a sedan that was stopped at a stop sign on Tate School Road looking west.

Troopers said the driver of the SUV was seriously hurt, and the motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene.

The FHP said the driver of the car, a 59-year-old woman from Molino, Florida, was not hurt.
