One person was killed in a crash involving an 18-wheeler at a Wylie junction, according to authorities.
According to the Wylie Police Department, investigators are investigating a crash that occurred around 6:38 a.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of Parker Road and Elaine Drive.
When police arrived at the site, they discovered a black Volkswagen Jetta trapped under an 18-wheeler trailer.
According to the Wylie Police Department, the driver of the Jetta was pronounced dead on the spot.
The Wylie Police Department did not say what caused the crash but stated the Accident Investigation Team is looking into it.
