Lakewood Ranch is about to become home to the largest Urban Air Adventure Park in the United States.

The massive 60,000-square-foot indoor facility is currently under construction on Professional Parkway near Interstate 75 and is set to open on July 25, 2025. The upcoming adventure park is designed to offer a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience for families, featuring a wide range of attractions for kids and adults alike.

A Huge Investment in Family Entertainment

The Urban Air Adventure Park in Lakewood Ranch is not just big—it’s also a major financial investment. What started as a $5-7 million project has now grown to a whopping $18.5 million investment.

The franchise owner, Michael Tucci, already owns two Urban Air locations in Tampa and Brandon. To bring this new facility to life, he purchased 7.5 acres of land from Lakewood Ranch developer Schroeder-Manatee Ranch for approximately $3 million. Unlike his previous locations, which were set up inside existing retail spaces, the Lakewood Ranch facility is being built from the ground up, making it a unique and customized project.

Exciting Attractions and Thrilling Activities

Urban Air Adventure Parks are known for offering a mix of fun and fitness, and the Lakewood Ranch location will be no exception. The park will feature a variety of activities, including:

Trampolines for high-flying fun

A ninja warrior course to test agility and strength

Rock climbing walls for adventure lovers

A dodgeball arena for competitive play

Battle beams, where participants try to knock each other off using oversized jousting sticks

Beyond these standard attractions, the Lakewood Ranch location will also introduce several new features, such as:

A laser tag arena for fast-paced action

A virtual reality zone for immersive digital experiences

A Sky Rider zipline, giving guests a chance to fly through the park

A slide park, featuring thrilling, skatepark-style slides

An air court, a brand-new attraction designed for various ball sports with padded floors for extra bounce and safety

Mini go-karts for guests aged five and under

The air court is one of the first of its kind in Urban Air parks nationwide, adding to the park’s unique appeal.

Safety Comes First

Safety is a top priority for Urban Air, and Michael Tucci has a strong background in ensuring it. As a former EMT who still maintains his certification, he was drawn to the Urban Air franchise because of its strict safety regulations.

“I didn’t want to open something up that didn’t have strict guidelines,” Tucci said. “I fell in love with the safety-first approach and the amazing experiences they offer to families.”

Party Rooms, Employment, and Capacity

The facility will also feature 12 party rooms, making it a perfect destination for birthday parties, group events, and celebrations.

Urban Air Lakewood Ranch aims to accommodate up to 1,100 guests at a time, although the final capacity limit will be determined by the local fire marshal.

To manage this large-scale operation, the park plans to hire between 150 and 165 employees, providing job opportunities in the local community.

Ticket Pricing and Future Expansion

While the exact ticket pricing for Lakewood Ranch has not been announced yet, Tucci’s other locations in Tampa and Brandon charge between $25.99 and $36.99 for a full-day pass, depending on the number of attractions included.

Although the Lakewood Ranch location fulfills Tucci’s current contract with Unleashed Brands, the parent company of Urban Air, he is already considering expanding further in Florida.

“With how it’s going and how much fun it’s been, I think from here on, I’ll do them from the ground up,” Tucci said.
