Black Voters Matter (BVM), a prominent national organization dedicated to empowering Black communities and advocating for voting rights, has launched its annual “BVM Days at the Capitol” initiative. - Texas: BVM organized events at the Texas State Capitol on March 19, focusing on healthcare access and environmental justice.
- North Carolina: Advocacy efforts centered on criminal justice reform and public safety, with community forums facilitating dialogue between residents and policymakers.

A Legacy of Empowerment and Advocacy
Since its inception in 2016, Black Voters Matter has been at the forefront of initiatives to protect voting rights and empower Black communities. The organization gained national recognition for its role in increasing Black voter turnout in the 2020–2021 Georgia elections, contributing to significant electoral outcomes.
BVM’s strategies include bus tours across the Southern United States and swing states to galvanize voters and combat voter suppression. These tours have been instrumental in building relationships and trust within communities, leading to increased civic engagement.
