We’ve had great weather this weekend. High pressure has resulted in clear skies and plenty of sunshine. Temperatures have also been slightly rising. Unfortunately, the temperatures are about to drop again.

A dry cold front passed across our area Sunday evening, lowering the temperatures for Monday morning. Many spots will see temperatures in the mid-20s, with a few much colder.

Even in the afternoon, temperatures will remain in the low 50s. High pressure will settle in behind the front, allowing the sky to remain clear despite the colder temperatures.

Tuesday’s temperatures will continue to drop. Morning lows will be in the low to mid-20s, with afternoon temperatures barely reaching the mid-40s.

Definitely a day to be bundled up for most of the day. There will still be plenty of sunshine, so if you can take the cold, today is a terrific day to go outside.

Our next possibility of rain will be isolated action on Wednesday evening/Thursday early.

While the majority of the rain will remain in the south, a few scattered showers will make their way to north Mississippi. Given that we are currently experiencing extensive drought, we will take any rain we can get.
