Deadly La Plata Accident Toyota Corolla Driver Killed in Collision With Ford F-250 Utility Truck

On December 4, 2024, a deadly automobile collision occurred on Rosewick Road and Rosewick Crossing Place in La Plata, Maryland, killing one Waldorf resident. At approximately 4:07 p.m., authorities received notification of a serious accident.

A preliminary investigation found that Anton Bronson, 60, of Waldorf, MD, was driving a 2016 Toyota Corolla east on Rosewick Road when it drifted over the concrete median. The Corolla collided with a westbound 2020 Ford F-250 utility truck, which sustained serious damage.

Tragically, Bronson was pronounced dead on the spot. The driver of the Ford F-250 had non-life-threatening injuries and was sent to a local hospital for treatment.

The La Plata Police Department Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating, with support from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Operations Unit. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
