Universal Orlando Resort is set to unveil a significant expansion with the opening of its fourth theme park, Universal Epic Universe, on May 22, 2025. This new park will introduce five uniquely themed areas, each offering immersive experiences inspired by popular franchises and imaginative concepts.

Themed Areas and Attractions

Celestial Park: Inspired by the heavens, stars, and constellations, Celestial Park will immerse guests into a cosmic adventure. A highlight is the Stardust Racers, a dual-launched roller coaster manufactured by Mack Rides. This coaster features two 5,000-foot tracks, each reaching 133 feet in height and speeds up to 62 mph. The ride includes a signature Celestial Spin element, where the tracks invert around each other while rising and falling. The trains will feature onboard audio and lighting, enhancing the experience as illuminated vehicles appear like comets in the night sky.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic: This area will blend the 1920s wizarding Paris from the Fantastic Beasts film series with the British Ministry of Magic. Key attractions include Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, an omnidirectional lift journey through various departments, and an all-new live show, Le Cirque Arcanus. Themed food and beverage venues, along with souvenir shops, will further enhance the immersive experience.

Super Nintendo World: This area will feature attractions like Mario Kart and Donkey Kong Mine-Cart Madness, bringing the beloved Nintendo characters and games to life. Guests can expect interactive experiences and themed dining options, such as the Toadstool Cafe.

How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk: Based on the popular How to Train Your Dragon franchise, this area will offer attractions that allow guests to explore the Viking village of Berk and interact with dragons in a fantastical setting.

Dark Universe: Dedicated to Universal’s classic monster movie brands, this area will feature attractions themed around iconic characters like Frankenstein’s Monster, the Mummy, and the Invisible Man. Guests can anticipate thrilling experiences that delve into the world of these legendary creatures.

In conjunction with the park’s opening, Universal Orlando Resort will introduce three new hotels:

Universal Mardi Gras: Running through March 30, this event features parades, concerts, and authentic Cajun cuisine.

Halloween Horror Nights: From August 29 to November 2, guests can experience haunted houses, scare zones, and live entertainment.

Holiday Celebrations: From November 21 to December 31, the resort will be adorned with festive decorations, and guests can enjoy special holiday-themed shows and attractions.
