I hope everyone had a great weekend. This weekend delivered colder temperatures after a weak front went through late last week. While it wasn’t as cold as earlier in the week, many portions of South Florida saw temperatures drop into the 50s on Saturday and Sunday morning. With the winds changing off the lake, ocean air is returning, bringing milder temperatures to the region over the next few days.
As the new week begins, the high-pressure system that has kept South Florida’s weather nice and calm will continue to move east toward the Atlantic. By Monday, winds will shift to the southeast, kicking off the expected warming trend.
High temperatures in many regions will return to the low 80s. Despite the rising temperatures, dry air, and distant storm systems will keep the weather pattern calm and dry to begin the week.
Looking forward, temperatures will continue to rise throughout the week. Winds will move to the southeast and south, with highs reaching the mid-80s by midweek. This warming trend will occur ahead of a new front, which is projected to approach Florida around Wednesday.
Showers, along with warmth and humidity, are expected to return by midweek. Once the front passes through late Wednesday and early Thursday, overnight temperatures will dip back into the 50s, with daytime highs in the 70s.
While this cool stretch will not last long, the comfortable weather will continue until the conclusion of the work week. On the negative, wind speeds will increase over the region, with breezy to windy conditions lasting into the weekend.
