Future Health Professionals. HOSA opens doors to students ranging from their middle school years to college years about the impact of health and the community. As Alyssa Peterson learned more, she found herself fascinated with medicine, particularly, the brain. One of my favorite movies is called Gifted Hands. Its about Ben Carson, a neurosurgeon, who successfully separated conjoined twins. After seeing this movie, I joined HOSA and learned more about this career. I now want to become a neurosurgeon in the future, said Peterson, (9).

Please Mute. Students stay silent in the beginning of their first period, a Florida law has provides students an opportunity for a moment of reflection. The law was part of bill HB 529, and has been striked with many controversies for months. We think its something thats important to be able to provide each student the ability, every day, to be able to reflect and to be able to pray as they see fit, said Desantis.
