Winter Storm Warnings Issued Up to 20 Inches of Snow Expected in Oregon and Washington

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued Winter Storm Warnings for parts of Oregon and Washington, with snowfall totals ranging from 13 to more than 20 inches in certain regions.

The storm is expected to cause hazardous travel conditions starting Saturday.

According to the NWS, the Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon and the Northwest Blue Mountains of Washington, which include Meacham, Ski Bluewood Resort, and Tollgate, will receive 10 to 13 inches of snow above 4,000 feet.

Higher elevations along the Eastern Washington Cascades Crest, including Easton and Roslyn, could receive 13 to 20 inches over 2,500 feet between 10 a.m. Saturday and 10 p.m. Monday.

Travelers are advised to avoid unnecessary travel and to pack emergency supplies. To ensure safety, report power outages to local utility companies and avoid downed lines.
