Chief Ken Rutherford of the Lansdowne Police Department said on Facebook that Kaiheem Jerelle Williams, who was 19 years old at the time, was charged with murder in connection with the death of his girlfriend, who was about eight months pregnant.

At the time in question, Rutherford stated that Williams and his girlfriend were cohabitating simultaneously.

Based on the information provided by the police, the fatal shooting took place on Friday in the 200 block of North Wycombe Avenue in Lansdowne. It was determined that the pregnant woman had passed away at the site.

During the previous week, the police reported that the woman’s baby had been delivered at the hospital, where it was reportedly described as being in critical condition.

An investigation into the incident was conducted by the Lansdowne Police Department and the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office.
